Rep. Brent Holds Cleveland Heights Town Hall
COLUMBUS — State Rep. Juanita O. Brent (D-Cleveland) today made the following statement after holding a town hall Wednesday night at the Cleveland Heights Library with more than 80 constituents from all over House District 18 where she spoke about the operating budget, capital budget, property taxes, and public education:
“2025 is about organizing! Real change doesn’t start at the top—it starts with us,” said Rep. Brent. “This moment calls for accountability at every level. Our students, parents, city councils, school boards, and mayors—everyone has a role to play. We must raise our voices, stand together, and speak out. The harm happening at the Statehouse affects us all, and silence is not an option. It’s time we get serious about empowering people and building a movement that centers the needs of our communities.”
