State Rep. Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) today announced her appointment to serve on Ohio’s 2020 census Complete Count Commission, which will consist of up to 51 individuals appointed by the governor.

“To be able to serve on such an important commission and help the State of Ohio obtain the most accurate and complete census count possible is humbling,” saidRep. Brent. “The census is essential for fair representation when it comes to determining and redrawing congressional districts.”

The Complete Count Commission will work to establish and develop actionable recommendations to the governor and each cabinet-level state agency, board and commission on how Ohio can ultimately receive the most complete census count in 2020. After completing their report, the commission will provide the legislature with their recommendations.

Brent represents Ohio’s 12th House district, which includes Maple Heights, Bedford, Bedford Heights, Warrensville Heights, Orange, Pepper Pike, Mayfield Heights and parts of Beachwood and Highland Hills.
