State Representative Joe Miller (D-Amherst) penned an Op-Ed in the Lorain Morning Journal last week, in which he called on the Ohio Redistricting Commission to draw fair districts that empower Ohio voters to choose their leaders. 

COLUMBUS— Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) issued a statement following the announcement that Ohioans who were overpaid unemployment benefits during the coronavirus pandemic will be eligible for a waiver to avoid costly repayments. Ohioans who saw their benefits stolen by scammers will also be eligible for replacement payments.

COLUMBUS—Rep. Joe Miller (D-Amherst) issued a statement Tuesday following the passage of the state budget, House Bill 110, which included provisions that phase out Academic Distress Commissions in order to restore local control and the Fair School Funding Plan, an improved public school funding formula that better addresses the needs of Ohio students, teachers and communities. The budget also included provisions that allow for veterans’ charitable gambling, as well as $250 million for broadband development in underserved areas.

HB 213 designates and displays the Honor and Remember Flag, and requires that it be flown at the Statehouse each Memorial Day under proper flag protocol. The bill also includes a permissive provision that allows other government buildings to fly the flag at their own discretion.
