Schmidt Votes to Stand in Support of Israel

COLUMBUS—The Ohio House of Representatives today passed House Resolution 292, announced State Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland).

The resolution, supported by Schmidt, expresses the Ohio House’s unwavering support for the people of Israel and condemns the recent attacks against the State of Israel. 

“The heinous acts carried out by Hamas terrorists on Israel are sickening and despicable acts of cowardice,” said Schmidt. “While I was in Congress, I had the opportunity to visit Israel and was amazed at the resilience of a people continually under threat of hate. What happened there over the past few days is not just an attack, but an incomprehensible disregard for human life. These acts should be condemned by every member of the Ohio House of Representatives. I proudly stand by Israel and their right to defend themselves. I pray for the families of those who lost their lives, especially the 22 Americans confirmed dead in these attacks. I am glad to see the House pass this resolution and affirm that Ohio will continue to be a strong supporter of Israel.”
