COLUMBUS – State Rep. Ismail Mohamed (D-Columbus) today announced that the Controlling Board approved funding for the purchase of land for a new residential care treatment facility near Old North, Columbus. The new residential care center will transform an existing property into the group home.

Rep. Mohamed Announces $22M for Ohio Access to Justice and Legal Aid

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Ismail Mohamed (D-Columbus) today announced that the Controlling Board has approved funding for the Ohio Access to Justice Foundation. The Ohio Access to Justice Foundation funds legal aid throughout the state of Ohio and enhances the delivery of civil legal services to people in need of indigent defense.

Rep. Mohamed Announces Passage of State Capital Budget Projects for Franklin County

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Ismail Mohamed (D-Columbus) announced the passage of House Bill (HB) 2, the state's biennial state capital budget, in both the Ohio House of Representatives & Senate. The record-setting $6.2B investment makes appropriations for state-owned infrastructure, colleges, universities, school districts, and other community projects.

Rep. Mohamed Announces Nearly $29.5M to Improve Housing Access Across Ohio

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Ismail Mohamed (D-Columbus) today announced that nearly $29.5M in awards have been announced to help improve housing access in Ohio. The funding is part of the first round of the Welcome Home Ohio program (WHO), which is investing a total of $100M in grants over two years to help landbanks purchase, rehabilitate, or build qualifying residential properties for income-eligible Ohioans.
