Representative Ghanbari Announces New Project In Wood County

COLUMBUS – State Representative Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) announced the Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved assistance for 12 projects in Ohio. These projects will create 3,962 new jobs in Ohio and retain 717 jobs across the state. 

Specifically in Wood County, Amazon is expected to create 1,000 full time jobs. These new jobs will yield $31 million in annual payroll as a result of the companies venture. The e-commerce company sells a wide variety of products through its online marketplace.

“The announcement of a new, state-of-the-art Amazon ful¿¿¿llment center in Rossford, and the creation of 1,000 new jobs, is a tremendous win for Wood County,” said State Representative Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg). “This is the culmination of partnerships with state and local governments, including the Ohio Tax Credit Authority, to attract and retain economic development here in our communities.”

The 12 projects in total will generate investments upwards of $705 million in Ohio. Additionally, the projects will add $153 million in payroll.
