Representative Manning Announces Ohio's Sales Tax Holiday

COLUMBUS – State Representative Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) announced today that Ohio’s Sales Tax Holiday will begin tomorrow Friday, August 2^nd at 12:00 a.m. and end on Sunday, August 4^th at 11:59 p.m.

“As a retired elementary school teacher, I know that back-to-school shopping this time of year can be costly for parents and educators,” said Rep. Manning. “That’s why I am pleased to remind everyone of the Sales Tax Holiday in Ohio taking place August 2, 3, and 4.”

During the sales tax holiday clothing priced at $75 per item or less, school supplies priced at $20 per item or less and school instructional material priced at $20 per item or less are all exempt from sales and use tax.
