COLUMBUS – State Representative Gary Click (R-Vickery) will be holding a series of small town-hall meetings in collaboration with Waste Management to discuss the disposal of hazardous waste from the East Palestine train derailment.

Vickery Environmental, which is operated by Waste Management, is one of the several companies that was tasked with cleaning up the aftermath of the Norfolk Southern wreckage. Click has partnered with Waste Management to host the meetings at the Vickery Waste Management Facility.

“Many questions have arisen after the news that Vickery Environmental, operated by Waste Management, was receiving hazardous liquid waste from the Norfolk Southern derailment in East Palestine,” Click said. “I have made arrangements with the team at Waste Management to meet with members of our community to address their questions and concerns.”

The meeting location is small, so several meetings are scheduled. Rep. Click is encouraging members of the community to sign up and attend. His office will be reaching out to constituents that have signed up to provide additional details.

Anyone interested in participating should complete a brief survey by following this link to indicate which days will work best.
