State Rep. Gary Click (R-Vickery) announces the Tiffin Development Center will be receiving $292,032 for repairs and replacement services after the measure was approved today at the State Controlling Board meeting.

“I was happy to support these important funds through legislation that’s going to be used for various repairs and updates to improve the Tiffin Developmental Center,” Click said.

The funding was secured through House Bill 110, the state’s operating budget that Click cosponsored and supported last year and was later signed into law.

Additionally, Click announced another measure was approved of $74,412 for Seneca County and $58,500 for Sandusky County for community capital assistance projects. The Community Capital Assistance Program administers funds made available by the state used to develop community housing for people with developmental disabilities who are or will be receiving various waiver services.

These funds will be used for projects involving the construction of a new home, purchase of existing community homes, and for renovation and accessibility projects for existing homes. The funding stems from House Bill 687, the state’s most recent capital budget that Click also cosponsored and supported this year.

The next State Controlling Meeting is scheduled for Oct. 3.
