COLUMBUS - The State Controlling Board has approved the release of $87,541.50 for the construction of a new Ohio State Highway Patrol Post to be located in Fremont, Sandusky County, Ohio.

The current facility is more the sixty years old and the upgrades to the current condition of the said facility represents the greatest need for the patrol statewide.

Temporary repairs will not suffice as the facility is in poor condition and this funding will be instrumental in revitalizing the post.

“It is important we continue to invest in our men and women in blue as they put their lives on the line day in and day out to protect and serve our communities,” said Click.

The State Controlling Board will meet next on March 21.
