Rep. Rogers, Lorenz Announce Bipartisan Bill to Recognize Male Wellness, DAD Day has Passed House Health Committee
COLUMBUS – State Reps. Rogers (D-Toledo) and Brian Lorenz (R-Powell) Wednesday announced that House Bill (HB) 207, bipartisan legislation designating June as "Male Wellness Month" and the third Monday in June as "Take Your Dad to the Doctor and Dentist Day" (DAD Day), has passed out of the House Health Committee.
“It is an exciting day in Ohio. Today, members of both parties worked together to do what was right for families. House Bill 207 is a bipartisan piece of legislation that we believe will lead to saving lives and strengthening families, while also helping to alleviate the fear of silence relating to male wellness,” said Rep. Rogers.
The bill encourages males to seek preventative care and encourages families to be health care advocates for the males in their lives.
HB 207 will now head to the House floor for a vote.
