Rep. Rogers Celebrates the Opening of the Newly Renovated Walbridge Railway Park
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers (D-Toledo) is proud to share that the Walbridge Railway Park playground is officially open. During the 135th General Assembly, Rep. Rogers secured $300k for this project in the Ohio capital budget.
“Representation matters, and this park is a fervent reminder of that. My work is about people, not politics. Parks are important, as they are safe havens and learning environments where kids can just be kids. They spark imagination, joy, and help shape a brighter future. For me, this is not just a feather in my cap. It is a true blessing and is dear to my heart. If you look around, you will see children having fun, smiling, laughing, playing, and creating lifelong memories,” said Rep. Rogers.
Prior to its renovation, Walbridge Railway Park still featured the original equipment installed when the park was created in the 1980’s. This renovation represents a significant investment for the Village of Walbridge. Without the capital budget appropriations, the project would have been beyond the village’s financial reach.
