Rep. Jarrells: President Trump's First 100 Days Bad for Workers, Bad for Businesses, Bad for Ohio
COLUMBUS – Assistant Minority Leader Dontavius L. Jarrells (D-Columbus) Wednesday joined other members of the Ohio House Democratic Caucus at a press conference regarding President Donald Trump's chaotic first 100 days in office. The president's disastrous federal policies and corrupt governing is negatively impacting Ohio's workers and businesses, vital programs the elderly, veterans, and public schools depend on, and the public's trust in government.
“Though this week marks 100 days into the Trump presidency, it hasn’t been 100 days of leadership or hope,” said Rep. Jarrells. “Instead, we’ve witnessed 100 days of pain, callous cuts and bureaucratic red tape aimed at erasing the dignity of working people. What happens in Washington doesn’t stay in Washington. It finds its way into our hospitals, our classrooms, and onto our kitchen tables. Ohioans deserve better, they deserve dignity, opportunity, and care. They deserve a government that puts people first.”
Ohio House Democrats center their beliefs and values around the idea of putting People First. That means always putting people over politics to ensure people get the opportunities they deserve better pay, better healthcare, better education for our children, better support for our working families, and better retirement security for our seniors.
