Rep. Jarrells announces committee assignments for the 134th General Assembly

COLUMBUS—State Rep. Dontavius Jarrells (D-Columbus) released the following statement today on his committee assignments for the 134th General Assembly:

“I am proud to work alongside my colleagues this General Assembly to fight for a better Ohio,” said Rep. Jarrells. “As we now begin to move bills through committees, I look forward to bringing my constituents’ voices with me throughout the entire legislative process.” 

Rep. Jarrells will serve on the following committees:

·         Finance 

·         Finance Subcommittee on Higher Education

·         Insurance

·         Ways & Means

·         Behavioral Health & Recovery Supports

Committee meetings are crucial to the formation of laws. All bills must have at least two hearings in committee to allow opponents and proponents to present testimony and voice opinions on potential changes to bills before they are considered by the full House.
