COLUMBUS - State Reps. Crystal Lett (D-Columbus) and Mike Odioso (R-Green Twp) were named 2026 “Legislators of the Year” by the Ohio Association of County Boards of Developmental Disabilities (OACB).

“As the mother of a child with developmental disabilities, this work means the world to me. Individuals with disabilities deserve to feel supported and heard. I am truly honored to receive this award and will continue to advocate for the DD community,” said Rep. Lett.

"Representatives Odioso and Lett understand the importance of having a strong, reliable system of services and supports for Ohioans with developmental disabilities and their families," said Adam Herman, CEO of the Ohio Association of County Boards.

The Ohio Association of County Boards of Developmental Disabilities (OACB) is a statewide trade association representing Ohio's 88 county boards of developmental disabilities. County boards provide or coordinate services and support for approximately 123,000 Ohioans with developmental disabilities and their families. These efforts help people live, learn, work, and participate in their communities.

Rep. Lett and Rep. Odioso have introduced H.B 581 and H.B 585 and collaborated to restart the Developmental Disabilities (DD) caucus. Rep. Lett looks forward to continuing to work with Rep. Odioso and other legislators in a bipartisan manner to improve the lives of those within the Developmental Disabilities community.
