Rep. Lett Announces Passage of State Capital Budget, Securing Vital Community Investments in Dublin, Hilliard, and Franklin County

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Lett (D-Columbus) today announced the passage of Senate Bill 450, the state's biennial capital appropriations budget. The bill allocates nearly $4B for the maintenance, renovation, and construction of state-owned infrastructure, including colleges, universities, school districts, and other community projects.
The capital budget is the mechanism by which the state funds its brick-and-mortar needs. This ranges from the construction and renovation of K-12 public schools and higher education facilities to public works programs and mental health treatment centers, as well as funding local community projects. It includes funding for projects that expand access to healthcare, strengthen local economies, preserve cultural institutions, improve public infrastructure, and enhance quality of life for residents across the region.
Rep. Lett helped secure $1.28M for District 11.
“Bringing resources to our district is one of the most important components of the job. I am very excited about these projects because they are tangible improvements to our community that will benefit Dublin and Hilliard residents of all ages. What I love about our district is its beauty, safety, and accessibility. That is why I advocated for projects that support bike-ability, walkability, and enhanced amenities,” said Rep. Lett.
¿Approximately $1.28M will be distributed to the following within HD 11:
- Dublin Bridge Park [$500,000]
- Dublin River Crossing Park Improvements [$250,000]
- Hilliard Brundige 4-H Youth Innovation Center [$278,500]
- Hilliard Wellness Campus Trail Connector / Renovation [$250,000]
