Rep. Russo votes to deliver $5,376,620 in American Rescue Plan funds to House District 24
COLUMBUS – House Minority Leader Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) yesterday voted in favor of House Bill (HB) 377, bipartisan legislation to release the second, $442 million batch of local government funding from President Biden’s American Rescue Plan to Ohio’s cities, villages and townships serving 50,000 people or less. Communities of more than 50,000 people receive their allocation directly from the federal government.
HB 377 brings the total distribution to local governments to $844 million. The distribution amounts are in accordance with a population-based formula from the American Rescue Plan Act and guidance issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
“I am proud to support President Biden’s American Rescue Plan that will give back to our local communities,” said Leader Russo. “These funds give Ohio’s cities, villages, and townships the opportunity to continue their economic recovery and strengthen their long term investments so that all Ohioans can thrive.”
The local governments in the Ohio House District 24 will receive the following funds:
Brown Township - $121,733.40
Hilliard - $1,921,126.66
Norwich Township - $211,705.69
Pleasant Township – $350,371.35
Prairie Township - $911,975.14
Upper Arlington - $1,859,707.81
House Bill 377 now heads to the Ohio Senate for further consideration.
