COLUMBUS – State Rep. Bride Rose Sweeney (D-Westlake) and Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) today announced the passage of House Bill (HB) 758, the “Brenna Brossard SUDEP Awareness Act.” The bipartisan legislation would raise awareness of SUDEP, or Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy, by ensuring patients, families, healthcare providers, and first responders have access to prevention information and resources. HB 758 passed the Ohio House by a vote of 89-6.

Michael Sutton will be awarded $1.4M and Kenny Phillips will be awarded $1.3M as part of their settlement agreements for the nearly 14 years they each spent in prison.
