This program provides critical financial assistance to farmers impacted by natural disasters in 2023 and 2024. A total of $16 billion in federal funding is available.

“Delaware County is no stranger to natural disasters.  Especially, the tornados that swept through our County in 2024, said Lorenz. “The SDRP is a resource for property owners of Delaware County to apply for assistance for projects related to storm damage.  My office is here to help and answer any questions you might have.”

Eligible producers include those who suffered losses as result of natural disaster occurring in calendar years 2023 and or 2024. These disasters include the following:

  • Tornadoes
  • Winter storms
  • Freeze (including a polar vortex)
