Rep. Peterson Showcases Tourism in Ohio
State Representative Bob Peterson (R-Sabina) today announced that Ohio’s tourism industry welcomed over 240 million visitors in 2024, supporting thousands of local businesses and attractions across the state, generating over $57 billion in revenue, according to the Ohio Department of Development.
“I am honored to represent Ross County, the first capital of Ohio,” said Rep. Peterson. “Its amazing history goes back to the Hopewell Mounds. Beyond the history of the 91st district, is the beauty and friendliness of its people.”
From national parks and historical monuments to beloved local restaurants, wineries, museums, and more, Ohio offers an incredible variety of destinations for visitors from near and far.
Representative Peterson is proud to highlight a few notable tourism destinations and community favorites in his district:
- The Adena Mansion & Gardens Historic Site – Located in Chillicothe, was originally built for Thomas Worthington in 1807
- The Hopewell Mounds National Historic Park in Ross County
- Rocky Fork State Park & Lake located near Rainsboro, Ohio
- Dogwood Pass – A replica ‘old western town’ in the hills of Southern Ohio
