COLUMBUS – The State Controlling Board has approved the release of $500,000 to support the construction of the Heights to Hudson Trail, Representative Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) announced today.

Approximately two miles long, the Heights to Hudson Trail will connect the Summit Metro Parks Hike and Bike Trail through the Village of Boston Heights’ downtown commercial center, and then to the City of Hudson border. “I appreciate the generosity and support of the State Controlling Board and Ohio Department of Natural Resources for this local project that will greatly contribute to our community,” said Representative Roemer.

The total project cost is $1,243,440.

Clean Ohio Trails Fund assistance will fund the construction phase of this project, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).

The project is one of 20 across the state to receive approval in this round of funding.
