Bill Expands State ID Program to Community-Based Correctional Facilities

COLUMBUS – State Representatives Gary Click (R-Vickery) recently announced that the Ohio House of Representatives passed House Bill 393, legislation that would require community-based correctional facilities and programs in Ohio to assist individuals in custody in obtaining a state-issued identification card prior to their release.

 
 

State Representatives David Thomas (R-Jefferson) and Chris Glassburn (D-North Olmsted) introduced bipartisan legislation proposing multiple reforms to increase transparency and protections for Ohioans.
