COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers (D-Toledo) stands in solidarity with Toledo’s autoworkers from UAW Local 12 and UAW Local 14 after they voted heavily in favor of authorizing a strike.

COLUMBUS—State Representatives Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County) and Kevin Ritter (R-Washington County) are pleased to announce the formation of the Appalachian Caucus, a bi-cameral, bipartisan gathering of state legislators serving Appalachia. COLUMBUS – The Ohio House Pro-Life Caucus, a coalition of legislators committed to advancing a culture of life in Ohio, held its inaugural meeting of the 136th General Assembly. State Representative Melanie Miller (R-Ashland) was officially named Chair of the caucus, which now comprises 31 state representatives dedicated to creating policy that protects life, empowers women, and strengthens families across the state.

Majority Whip Nick Santucci (R-Niles) today announced that the Ohio House of Representatives approved the conference committee report for Am. Sub. House Bill 96 –the State Operating Budget. The budget plan, which allocates funding for state programs and operations for the next two years, includes provisions that aim to protect freedom, family and fiscal responsibility – approving historic property tax relief for Ohioans, implementing a flat tax rate and providing a record amount of state funding for school districts. 

Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives Matt Huffman (R-Lima) and State Representative Brian Stewart (R-Ashville) today announced that the Ohio House of Representatives approved the conference committee report for Am. COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers (D-Toledo) is reminding Ohioans that there is an election upcoming on August 8.  The deadline to register for the election is July 10th, early in-person and mail-in voting begin on July 11th, and the absentee ballot application deadline is August 1st.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers (D-Toledo) did not vote in favor of passage of the compromised version of House Bill 33, Ohio’s biennial budget.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers (D-Toledo) called for funding for the Ohio Maritime Assistance Program to be restored to $40,000,000. 

State Representative Ty Moore (R-Caldwell) Wednesday took the oath of office to serve as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 95th House District, which includes all of Harrison, Noble and Morgan Counties and portions of Belmont, Guernsey, and Athens Counties.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers, Jr. (D-Toledo) today announced two separate funding approvals for the betterment of the northwest Ohio area from this week’s Controlling Board meeting. $750,000 in capital funds for the purchase of a residential treatment facility for Unison Behavioral Health Group, Inc. was approved, as well as, a $2,000,000 increase in funding to complete remedial design work in the Maumee River.

COLUMBUS –Speaker Pro Tempore Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) is pleased to announce that 2025 Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) Grants were awarded to support two projects in Lorain County. 

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elgin Rogers, Jr. (D-Toledo) denounces the passage of SJR 2 by the Ohio House of Representatives. 

State Representative Kevin Miller (R-Newark) today announced that the Ohio House of Representatives passed House Bill 247 – also known as “Avery’s Law” – legislation that would establish new requirements on vicious dog owners to prevent dog attacks.
