COLUMBUS – State Representative Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) announced that two companies located in Wood County were recently awarded tax credit funding that will result in local economic development and job creation.
COLUMBUS—The Ohio House of Representatives Wednesday passed Substitute House Bill 2, which will allocate $350 million in one-time project funding from the Strategic Community Investment Fund, announced State Representative Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg).
This one-time funding will be administered to statewide, regional, and local projects, $15 million of which will directly serve Wood and Lucas counties and the surrounding communities.
“The future of Northwest Ohio is bright,” said Ghanbari. “It was a privilege to take the lead and fight for vital projects in Wood and Lucas counties that will impact everything from the safety of our residents to visits to the Toledo Zoo for years to come.”
COLUMBUS, Ohio — State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) released the following statement Wednesday regarding the Ohio House voting to override Governor DeWine’s veto of Substitute House Bill 68:
“Today, I proudly voted to override the Governor’s veto of Substitute House Bill 68,” Ghanbari said. “I previously voted for the SAFE Act and Save Women’s Sports Act in June, supported it in December, and once again took a stand to protect our children and to also ensure that females can compete on a level playing field, not against biological males. I am looking forward to the Senate following the House’s lead.”
The veto override now heads to the Ohio Senate for consideration.
COLUMBUS, Ohio — State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) released the following statement Friday regarding Governor DeWine’s veto of Substitute House Bill 68:
“I’m disappointed the Governor has vetoed Substitute House Bill 68. His failure to support the legislature’s efforts to protect our children and ensure that females can compete on a level playing field, not against biological males, is both frustrating and disheartening,” Ghanbari said. “I voted for the SAFE Act and Save Women’s Sports Act on June 21, 2023. Due to a medical emergency, I was not in attendance for the concurrence vote of the Senate changes Dec. 13, 2023; however, I look forward to working with House leadership and will once again stand up for our children by voting to override his veto at the earliest opportunity.”
COLUMBUS — State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) has released the following statement Friday after becoming the victim of a swatting incident at his home.
“This afternoon I was contacted by the Perrysburg Police Department after their dispatch received communication indicating an individual has been shot at our residence,” Ghanbari said. “This false report prompted a response by law enforcement officers who arrived on scene and swiftly cleared our home.”

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) announced Thursday more than $1.1 million has been awarded to projects in Wood County, including improvements to public safety and library facilities at Bowling Green State University, improvements to the Ohio National Guard’s Walbridge Armory, and the Chessie Circle Trail Project. The State Controlling Board approved the measure during Monday’s meeting.

BOWLING GREEN — State Rep. Haraz N. COLUMBUS —State Representative Jeff LaRe (R–Violet Township) today announced that House Bill 316 has passed through the Ohio House of Representatives. The bill honors the life and military service of Master Sergeant Norman Michael Kilbarger by designating a portion of Chillicothe Lancaster Road in Fairfield County as the “MSGT Norman Michael Kilbarger Memorial Highway.”
