State Representative Meredith Craig (R-Smithville) today announced that the City of Wooster will receive $750,000 through the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), which awards communities to improve safety for bicycle and pedestrian traffic.

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – State Representative Meredith Craig (R–Smithville) announced the Ohio Senate passed House Bill 105, bringing long-overdue transparency to third-party litigation funding and ensuring that no foreign entity can invest in or influence our courts.

Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio House Finance Committee adopted substitute House Bill 33 this morning, announced Representative Callender (R-Concord). This adoption comes after three months of hearings, both by the full finance committee and sub committees focused on individual sections of the 4311 page bill. While no earmarks or district projects where included in the substitute bill, several projects impacting Lake County and North East Ohio where included in the legislation. 

COLUMBUS – State Reps. Bob Young (R-Green) and Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) recently introduced House Bill 152, commonly known as Madeline’s Law. The proposed legislation would require health insurers to cover the cost of hearing aids for Ohioans ages 21 and younger.

COLUMBUS – State Representative Meredith Craig (R-Smithville) yesterday voted in support of the Larry Henderson Act, named after Deputy Henderson, who was tragically killed while working security detail at the University of Cincinnati’s Spring Commencement on May 2, 2025.
