Ohio House Repeals Nuclear Subsidy, More with  Passage of Energy Bill

COLUMBUS – The Ohio House of Representatives today passed legislation to repeal the nuclear subsidy created by House Bill 6 from the 133rd General Assembly. Sponsored by Representatives Jim Hoops and Dick Stein, House Bill 128 passed the House 86-7.

Brent (D-Cleveland) and Tristan Rader (D- Lakewood) today issued a statement following the passage of House Bill (HB) 372, a bill that makes the penalty for aggravated murder either death or life without the possibility of parole if the victim is a peace officer, prosecutor, first responder, or military member.

Reps. Sweeney, Click Provide Sponsor Testimony on Bipartisan Bill to Establish Eating Disorders Awareness Week in Ohio

COLUMBUS – State Reps. Bride Rose Sweeney (D-Westlake) and Gary Click (R-Vickery) this week offered sponsor testimony before the Ohio House Health Committee in support of House Bill (HB) 363, bipartisan legislation to designate the last week of February as Eating Disorders Awareness Week in Ohio. Similar legislation previously passed the Ohio House with overwhelming bipartisan support in 2022 by a vote of 93-1.

 
 
Bird & Koehler's Bill to Bring Relief to Students Passes House

COLUMBUS – The Ohio House of Representatives today passed Substitute House Bill 67, legislation sponsored by State Representatives Adam Bird (R-New Richmond) and Kyle Koehler (R-Springfield) that would provide relief to school students who are returning to school this spring by providing provisions laid out in the bill.

Ohio House Passes Larry Henderson Act

COLUMBUS – State Representatives Cindy Abrams (R-Harrison) and Phil Plummer (R-Dayton) are pleased to announce that the Ohio House of Representatives today passed the Larry Henderson Act, named after Deputy Henderson, who was tragically killed while working security detail at the University of Cincinnati’s Spring Commencement on May 2, 2025.

Ohio House Passes Prior Authorization Reform to Reduce Delays and Improve Patient Care
