State Rep. Mike Loychik (R-Bazetta) will soon be introducing the “Athletic Coach Mental Health Training” bill, which requires athletic coaches at schools to take a course regarding student mental health as part of the requirements to renew their coaching permits.

State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) has been appointed by Ohio House Speaker Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill) as Chair of the House Homeland Security Committee and as a member of several other committees.

State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) was recently appointed by the Speaker of the House, Jason Stephens, to serve on the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission. 

State Representative Jena Powell (R-Arcanum) was sworn into office for a third term recently to the Ohio House of Representatives. Powell represents the new 80th House District, which includes Miami County and the southern portion of Darke County.

State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) was administered his oath of office by Ohio Supreme Court Justice Patrick F. Fischer during a recent ceremony at the Statehouse. Ghanbari, serving his second elected term in the Ohio House of Representatives, was initially appointed in March 2019 during the 133rd General Assembly.  

State Rep. Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) applauds Senate Bill 16 being recently signed into law. The legislation included provisions of Cutrona’s bill he introduced, House Bill 459, with the goal of preventing sex predators from volunteering in a position that affords extensive contact with minor children.

State Rep. Scott Oelslager (R-North Canton) has been elected Speaker Pro Tempore of the Ohio House of Representatives during the opening day ceremonies for the 135th General Assembly on Tuesday. The Speaker Pro Tempore is the second leadership position in the Ohio House of Representatives. 

State Rep. Diane Grendell (R-Chesterland) has bid farewell to her colleagues on the floor of the Ohio House of Representatives during the final legislative session of the 134th General Assembly.

State Rep. Sharon Ray (R-Wadsworth) recently supported House Bill 45, which included $750,000 in funding for the Medina County Emergency Housing Shelter. The legislation was approved by the General Assembly during the last legislative session of the year.
