COLUMBUS, OH – Ohio House Speaker Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill) issued the following statement on Governor DeWine calling a special session of the General Assembly:

COLUMBUS, OH — The Economic and Workforce Development Committee yesterday, heard sponsor testimony from State Rep. Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) on House Bill 476. 

COLUMBUS—The House State and local Government Committee yesterday passed House Bill 315, the Township Omnibus Bill, announced bill sponsor, State Rep. Thomas Hall (R- Madison Twp.). 

COLUMBUS – The House Commerce and Labor Committee today passed House Bill 327, legislation that supports Ohio workers by ensuring newly hired employees are legally eligible for employment in the United States, announced bill sponsor, State Rep. D.J. Swearingen (R-Huron). 

COLUMBUS—Speaker Pro Tempore Scott Oelslager (R-North Canton) is pleased to announce the recent passage of multiple important pieces of legislation. 

COLUMBUS—State Rep. Rodney Creech (R-West Alexandria) this week introduced legislation to protect professional athletes by requiring professional sports stadiums to use natural grass fields. 

COLUMBUS—State Rep. Jennifer Gross (R-West Chester) was recently selected by the Fairfield Prevention Coalition to be the Champion for the Fairfield Community and Fairfield Youth Coalitions. The Coalition cited Gross’s dedication to positive outcomes for Ohio’s youth, specifically in Fairfield City and Township.

COLUMBUS – The House Finance Committee began hearings on House Bill 434, legislation to establish the Traumatic Brain Injury Treatment Accelerator Pilot Program, announced bill sponsor, State Rep. Mike Loychik (R-Bazetta).

COLUMBUS—State Rep. Sharon Ray (R-Wadsworth) today introduced legislation to support foster and kinship caregivers by providing publicly funded childcare. Ray is sponsoring the bill alongside State Rep. Andrea White (R-Kettering).

COLUMBUS—State Rep. Sarah Fowler Arthur (R-Ashtabula) is pleased to announce that more than $5 million will be directed towards four transformative economic development projects in Ashtabula County through the Appalachian Community Grant Program.
