COLUMBUS—Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) recently appointed State Representative Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) to the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission (OTIC). Rep. Patton will serve as one of the non-voting members on the ten-member board.

The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission meets regularly to discuss and address any concerns related to the Ohio Turnpike, a 241-mile toll road in northern Ohio. Having previously served on the Commission and with experience as the vice chairman of the Senate Transportation, Commerce, and Labor Committee, Rep. Patton is looking forward to promoting safe and efficient transportation for all travelers on the Ohio Turnpike.

“I am honored and excited to be reappointed to the Ohio Turnpike Commission,” said Rep. Patton. “The Commission anticipates spending as much as $121.4 million this year on projects throughout northern Ohio with our focus on improving travel experience, safety, and efficiency of transportation on the Ohio Turnpike.”

Rep. Patton’s appointment to the Commission will take immediate effect.
