Rep. Pizzulli Highlights $1.15 Million in Funding for Brown County

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – State Representative Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County) voted in support of Ohio’s Capital Budget bill, a two-year capital improvements budget for state and community projects throughout the state.
Rep. Pizzulli celebrated investments totaling more than $1.15 million for the following community projects in Brown County:
- Brown County Fairgrounds Bleacher Project - $350,000
- Brown County Fairgrounds Restroom Project - $300,000
- Brown County Historical District Parking Lot - $150,000
- Village of Mount Orab Bruce Lunsford Park Inclusive Playground - $150,000
- Brown County Court House Facility Improvements - $100,000
- Hanlon Park Tennis Court Project - $50,000
- Colonel Higgins Pickleball Court Project - $50,000
“I’m pleased to see this funding directed towards projects that will directly enhance the quality of life for Appalachian communities,” said Pizzulli.
Through this bill, Ohio House Republicans prioritized investing in Ohio’s future by expanding access to education and healthcare through new facilities or upgrades to existing ones, improving parks and roadways to better connect communities, and strengthening local facilities across the state by providing necessary funding for enhancements.
This bill now heads to the Governor for consideration.
