Bishara W. Addison appointed to Ohio House District 9, sworn in as state representative

COLUMBUS—State Rep. Bishara W. Addison (D-Shaker Heights) today was officially appointed and sworn in to fill the vacancy as state representative to Ohio House District 9.

“It is an honor to serve the constituents of House District 9,” said Rep. Addison. “I am excited to join my colleagues and make a meaningful contribution to the state of Ohio.”

Rep. Addison outlined her top priorities Wednesday, which include: 

·         Advancing equitable economic and workforce development;

·         Combating income inequality.

Rep. Addison currently serves as the Director of Job Preparation at the Fund for Our Economic Future. She has also previously worked for Towards Employment and Cleveland Metropolitan Schools. 

House District 9 includes all or parts of Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights and University Heights.
