Rep. Kent Smith sends letter to Governor urging removal of conspiracy theorist Ohio Arts Council board member
State Representative Kent Smith (D-Euclid) today sent a letter to Gov. Mike DeWine asking his office to remove Susan Block from the board of the Ohio Arts Council. This move follows a controversial post made by Block on social media claiming the presidential election was stolen from President Trump and calling the Vice President-Elect a derogatory term.
“Conspiracy theories and calls for violence have no place in Ohio government or the DeWine Administration. Recent social media posts by Ohio Arts Council board Member, Susan Allan Block have demonstrated she is unfit to hold such a position,” said Rep. Kent Smith. “On behalf of the Ohio creative community, Ohio artists and more than 11 million residents of this state, I ask for her immediate resignation and, failing that, I urge Governor DeWine to remove her.”
