COLUMBUS- Ohio House Minority Leader Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) issued a statement today congratulating Ketanji Brown Jackson on being sworn in as the 116th Supreme Court justice and the first Black woman to serve on the high court.
“I congratulate Justice Jackson on her historic swearing in. Justice Jackson’s extraordinary qualifications, outstanding intellect and commitment to justice makes this honor well-deserved,” said Leader Russo. “The recent overturning of Roe v. Wade underscores the need to appoint Supreme Court justices who will protect and uphold the fundamental freedoms and liberty aspired to within our Constitution. Justice Jackson will bring a much-needed and too long-overlooked perspective to the highest court in the land.”
