Hall Announces $500,000 for Butler County Demolition and Revitalization Funding

July 5, 2022
Thomas Hall News

State Rep. Thomas Hall (R-Madison Twp.) announces the Butler County Land Reutilization Corporation is set to receive $500,000 in funding through the Ohio Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program.

The program was supported through the state operating budget passed last year with Hall’s support in the Ohio House and will fund the demolition of commercial and residential buildings that are in need of repairs.

“This is a strong investment for our families, business owners and our communities of Butler County,” Hall said. “We’re looking to revitalize these properties and looking ahead to the future to provide attractive areas for businesses, jobs and more development throughout the region.”

Under the state operating budget bill, it allocated a total of approximately $150 million in grants to be dispersed. The first round of allocations includes $42.1 million and was set aside for all 88 Ohio counties that requested up to $500,000. The remaining funds after June 30, 2022 are available through grants on a first-come, first-served basis.
