Legislation honors Springdale Officer who died during a police chase in March

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Sedrick Denson (D-Cincinnati) today applauded the House’s passage of House Bill (HB) 616, which renames a portion of I-275 in Hamilton County the “Kaia L. Grant Memorial Highway.”
“I’m elated we were able to have the Kaia L. Grant Memorial Highway be the driver for this road naming package,” said Rep. Denson. “I appreciate the overwhelming support from my colleagues to ensure that Kaia’s memory endures forever.”
Springdale Officer Kaia L. Grant, age 33, died tragically during a police chase on March 21.
HB 616 is a legislative package to rename multiple roads, bridges, and highways across the state. The legislation now heads to the Ohio Senate where it awaits committee assignment.
