COLUMBUS – State Rep. Rodney Creech (R-West Alexandria) today applauded Royal Canin U.S.A. Inc.’s announcement to expand their facility in Harrison Township, creating 224 new jobs and generating over $11.2 million in new annual payroll.

Royal Canin U.S.A., Inc. manufactures and supplies pet foods. According to the company, the anticipated capital investment of the project is $380 million.

“This exciting announcement shows that Preble County is becoming a leader in attracting business investment in Ohio,” said Creech. “I am thrilled to see Royal Canin expand their operation in our region and hire the talented individuals in our community. I sincerely thank JobsOhio, Preble County Development Partnership, Dayton Development Coalition and Royal Canin for their effective collaboration in making this important project happen.”

The project will also retain 69 jobs and over $6.2 million in payroll.

The expansion was made possible by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (OTCA) approving a 1.521%, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project. During its meeting today, the OTCA approved assistance for seven projects throughout the state, resulting in the creation of 992 new jobs and $64 million in new payroll.
