Briefs: Marion-area state reps get appointments

COLUMBUS - State Representative Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) has been named chair of the finance subcommittee on the Primary & Secondary Education Committee.

Richardson will also serve on the Armed Services and Veterans Affairs, Finance, Primary and Secondary Education, and the Technology and Innovation committees.

Richardson is serving her second term in the Ohio House of Representatives representing the 86th District, which consists of Union and Marion counties.

Representative Riordan McClain (R-Upper Sandusky) was assigned to three standing committees: Infrastructure and Rural Development; Transportation and Public Safety (vice chair); and Ways and Means.

McClain represents the 87th District, which includes all of Crawford, Morrow and Wyandot counties, as well as portions of Marion and Seneca counties.
