Ohio House Majority Whip Nick Santucci (R-Niles) has received the Elected Official Advocacy Award from the Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging (o4a), recognizing his leadership and commitment to supporting older Ohioans and strengthening the organizations that serve them.

The Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging is a nonprofit network dedicated to helping older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their families live independently and with dignity.

“Public service begins with listening, understanding the challenges facing our communities, and working together to find practical solutions,” said Santucci. “Our seniors helped build the communities we are fortunate to call home, and they deserve the opportunity to age with dignity, independence, and financial security. I am truly honored by this recognition and grateful for the dedicated individuals and organizations who work every day to improve the lives of older Ohioans.”

“Representative Santucci demonstrated the value of engaged, accessible leadership by taking the time to understand our concerns and consider how a proposed rule could affect the work of Area Agencies on Aging,” said Beth Kowalczyk, CEO of o4a. “His willingness to ask questions, examine the practical implications, and support a measured approach helps protect opportunities for AAAs to build partnerships and expand services for older Ohioans. We appreciate his partnership and his commitment to making sure state policy works effectively for the people and communities it serves.”

Santucci has remained committed to advancing responsible policies that protect financial security, promote independence, and improve the quality of life for Ohioans of all generations. As part of that commitment, he voted for House Bill 479, which delivered $350 million in property tax relief to homestead exemption recipients, including seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.

As Majority Whip, Santucci remains focused on ensuring state government listens to the people it serves, strengthens partnerships with community organizations, and advances commonsense solutions that make Ohio a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
