Majority Whip Nick Santucci (R-Niles) announced today that he was recently appointed to four National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) and Midwestern Legislative Conference (MLC) Committees.

“I’m honored to be appointed by Speaker Matt Huffman to these committees and to represent Ohio on a national level through the National Conference of State Legislatures and the Midwestern Legislative Conference,” said Representative Santucci. “These roles are an important opportunity to ensure Ohio’s voice is heard, collaborate with colleagues from across the country, and bring back innovative ideas to strengthen our approach to key policy areas like education, economic development, and workforce readiness. I look forward to sharing Ohio’s success stories, learning from others, and collaborating to advance meaningful solutions to unique problems each state may be facing.”

Representative Santucci was appointed to the following committees:

•                     NCSL Standing Committee on Budgets and Revenue

•                     NCSL Standing Committee on Education

•                     NCSL Standing Committee on Labor and Economic Development

•                     MLC Economic Development and Infrastructure Committee

NCSL was created in 1975, and serves America’s 50 states, commonwealths, territories and the District of Columbia. Its mission is to advance the effectiveness, independence and integrity of legislatures and to foster interstate cooperation and facilitate the exchange of information among legislatures.

MLC is a nonpartisan association of all legislators representing 11 states (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin) and the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The MLC is a branch of the Council of State Governments, which seeks to promote excellence in state government, create interstate communication, and networking.
