Rep. Grim Announces More Than $1M In Funding for Toledo Homeless Crisis Response Programs

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today announced that Beach House, Catholic Charities – Diocese of Toledo, Inc., Toledo Community Service Center, and TLC Homelessness Board have collectively received $1,098,100 from The Ohio Department of Development to assist Ohioans experiencing homelessness by finding both temporary and permanent housing options.

Reps. Grim, Hoops Introduce Bipartisan Bill Requiring Drivers to Stop, Look and Listen at Railroad Crossings

COLUMBUS – State Reps. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) and Jim Hoops (R-Napoleon) today announced the introduction of House Bill (HB) 372, bipartisan legislation that requires operators of motor vehicles to stop, look, and listen for on-track equipment when approaching railroad crossings.

Rep. Grim Announces More Than $1M in Funding for Initiatives to Combat Lead Poisoning

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today announced that the City of Toledo’s Department of Housing and Community Development has received $1.05M from The Lead Safe Housing Fund Community Primary Prevention Grant, provided through the Ohio Department of Health. The grant funds will provide for the lead housing registry, community education, and outreach initiatives.

Rep. Grim Announces More Than $1M in Ohio First Scholarships for the University of Toledo

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today announced the University of Toledo has received $1M in funding from the State of Ohio’s Choose Ohio First Scholarship program to provide financial support for students receiving degrees in the science, technology, engineering, and math fields. Choose Ohio First Scholarships are designated to students who are Ohio residents, and work to increase Ohio’s competitiveness in the science and technology fields.
