Rep. Grim Announces $2M Grant for City of Toledo Redevelopment
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today announced that the Ohio Department of Development approved $2 million in funding for the redevelopment of the historic Spitzer Building at the Four Corners intersection of downtown Toledo, as a part of the Residential Economic Development District (REDD) program.
“Following critical investments from General Motors and Stellantis in the Toledo community – housing demands continue to rise for our growing workforce. The REDD grant will provide valuable investment in the redevelopment of 200 housing units for Toledo workers. I am proud to advocate for important programs that incentivize Ohio’s growth,” said Rep. Grim.
The Residential Economic Development District (REDD) program has provided up to $15 million this fiscal year alone to assist communities across the state in economic development that ensures those employed in the state of Ohio have the housing they need.
