Rep. Lawson-Rowe Announces New Workforce, Economic Development for Groveport

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Meredith Lawson-Rowe (D-Reynoldsburg) today announced that the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) approved a proposal for opening a new Picanova, Inc. location in Obetz, Ohio.

“I am excited to announce that Picanova, Inc. has been given approval to move forward with their plans of opening a new location in the city of Obetz,” said Rep. Lawson-Rowe. “This facility will spur much-needed economic and workforce development in the city of Obetz.”

Picanova, Inc. is a decorative and lifestyle accessories manufacturer and one of the largest producers of custom wall décor in the world.

The proposed project includes the relocation of Picanova’s Arizona operation to Ohio. The new facility aims to create 246 full-time-equivalent positions, which are expected to generate $13M in new annual payroll in Obetz.

TCA also approved a 1.599 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.
