Rep. McNally Announces $15,065.50 in State Funding for Fire Department MARCS Systems, Equipment Purchases

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) today announced the awarding of $15,065.50 in state funds from the Multi-Agency Radio Communications System (MARCS) Grant Program to offset costs for the purchase of systems, equipment, and/or services that are a part of, integrated into, or otherwise interoperable with MARCS in multiple fire departments in Ohio’s 58th district.

Rep. McNally Bill Improving Safety Conditions at Ohio's Public Rest Areas Passes House Homeland Security Committee

 COLUMBUS – State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) today announced the Ohio House Homeland Security Committee’s passage of House Bill (HB) 473, legislation requiring the maintenance of a system of security cameras at each rest area over which the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has jurisdiction, a total of 85 rest stops in Ohio.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) today announced the Ohio House of Representatives’ concurrence vote of House Bill (HB) 81, legislation amended to compile several state highway road namings including HB 456’s designation of the only mile portion of State Route (SR) 170 within the village limits of New Middletown in Ohio’s 59th district as the “Police Chief Ronnie Ricketts, Sr. Memorial Highway.”

Rep. McNally Legislation Demands State Give Community, Students in Youngstown Their Schools Back

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) today provided sponsor testimony in the House Primary and Secondary Education Committee on House Bill (HB) 387, legislation that will, once and for all, end state takeovers of public schools in Ohio and end Youngstown City School District’s (YCSD) requirements to complete an Academic Improvement Plan or face another state takeover if metrics in the plan aren’t met.

Rep. McNally's HB 290 Calls for Refundable Tax Credit for Middle, Low-income Families

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) today provided sponsor testimony in the Ways and Means Committee on House Bill (HB) 290, the Thriving Families Tax Credit. If authorized, it would give 986,000 urban, suburban, and rural Ohio families a much-needed boost and benefit an estimated 300,000 families (more than 55% of families) in Ohio’s 32 Appalachian counties who would be eligible for the credit.
