COLUMBUS – State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) today announced that the Ohio Controlling Board released $1,278,268.00 in Road Development Grants to Youngstown. This will support public road improvements for the U.S. 62 and North Garland Avenue connector.  This will include widening, paving, road construction and infrastructure improvements around the road like sewer and utility line repairs. The goal of this project is to provide accessibility, improve traffic flow, and overall safety in the area.

“I appreciate the state investment in Youngstown and Youngstown’s infrastructure. This is a huge project and I am excited to see the impact it will have on the community around the project,” said Rep. McNally.

This grant will be administered through the Department of Development. The Roadwork Development Grant Program is an Ohio state-funded incentive that provides grants to local jurisdictions for public roadway improvements. Its primary goal is to promote economic development by supporting business expansion, infrastructure upgrades, and local job creation or retention.
