COLUMBUS – State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) today announced that the Ohio EPA awarded $44K to McCartney Mobile Home Park (MHP).  This is an emergency generator grant, which is meant to help maintain water service and protect water supply during power outages. The grants will reimburse systems for the initial costs of generators and necessary accessories.

“This is a smart investment in our community. I am happy to see the Ohio EPA and the U.S. EPA taking steps to make sure that we have clean, and reliable drinking water across the state,” said Rep. McNally.

The grants, which are being funded through the U.S. EPA’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Capitalization Grants, will help public water systems maintain a continuous supply of safe drinking water, strengthen the protection of the water source, properly close inactive wells, and invest in emergency generators. $2.8M was awarded to 122 different projects in 58
