Rep. McNally Announces 40 New Jobs for Vallourec Star, LP in Youngstown

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) Monday shared that The Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) approved a job creation tax credit for Vallourec Star, LP, an American-made seamless tub supplier. The company plans to expand and create 40 new jobs for the Mahoning Valley.

“I am very proud of Vallourec and the successes that they are having. Youngstown has a strong history in the steel industry and I am excited to see their success,” said Rep. McNally.

 TCA approved a 1.126 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project.  They are expanding to meet the needs of the North American market.

During its monthly meeting, the TCA reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. The twelve projects are expected to result in more than $73 million in new payroll , create 1,126 new jobs, retain 2,686 jobs, and generate over $2 billion in investments across Ohio.
