Pavliga Announces Jobs, Millions in Payroll for LG Chem in Ravenna

State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) announces dozens of jobs and millions in annual payroll for a new project in Ravenna from LG Chem America Inc. The initiative comes from JobsOhio and was approved by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) as they reviewed multiple economic development proposals.

“Portage County and Northeast Ohio are both economically stronger after today’s announcement,” said Pavliga. “I’m excited and thankful for LG Chem America on this new endeavor that’s going to create new jobs and millions in annual payroll that will help boost Ravenna’s economic growth within the region.”

LG Chem America Inc. expects to create the following:

·         72 full-time positions

·         $4.7 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in Ravenna

LG Chem is a division of LG focused on producing ABS, a highly functional heat- and impact-resistant compound used for a variety of applications from toys to household appliances and automotive parts.
