Jones Recognizes National First Responders Day

October 28, 2022
Don Jones News

State Representative Don Jones (R-Freeport) has issued the following statement on National First Responders Day:

“Today is a reminder to celebrate and recognize the dedication and sacrifices our first responders make, not just here in Ohio, but across the nation. I have served on the front lines as a volunteer fireman and EMT for over 30 years now, so I’ve seen firsthand just how hard these men and women work to protect our communities.

“While one day may never seem like enough to thank our first responders, I am proud to celebrate and honor them for their commitment to public safety. I applaud all of our local law enforcement officers, firemen and women, paramedics, and EMTs and am proud to support each and every one of them.”

National First Responders Day is celebrated each year on October 28. The United States Congress designated this honorary day in 2017 in an effort to acknowledge and praise the important work these men and women do to keep their communities safe.
