Rep. David Thomas Statement about Governor Dewine's Vetoes in the Budget

Today is a sad day for Ohio. The Governor vetoed 67 policies in the budget, including 4 Property Tax Reform measures that would have made a real difference for our tapped out property owners- these were the strongest efforts the Legislature has approved since the crisis. I believe the Legislature is fully on the side of taxpayers and will override the Governor's vetoes of these desperately needed reforms. It makes 0 sense to veto efforts directly relieving our taxpayers, we will get you the help needed. This is not done and is a strong oversight and miscalculation of where our property owners are at. They need relief and reform now and cannot wait another property tax bill cycle.
