Legislation that will help high school and college students and their families have greater awareness of the state’s 9-8-8 crisis lifeline number – and access to immediate help in times of urgent need – was signed into law by Governor Mike DeWine Wednesday, January 8th. 

COLUMBUS – Legislation introduced by State Representatives Andrea White (R-Kettering) and Rachel Baker (D-Cincinnati) to better support hospital health care workers by providing a framework for addressing the increase in workplace violence through prevention strategies, workplace safety plans, training and reporting standards throughout Ohio, has passed the Ohio Senate and is headed to the Governor for signing.

COLUMBUS – State Representatives Andrea White (R-Kettering) and Bride Rose Sweeney (D-Westlake) have successfully passed their legislation that will help ensure consistency around the state for how courts award child support in divorce cases for children with disabilities through the Ohio General Assembly after the Senate unanimously voted in support for the bill Wednesday.

COLUMBUS – A bill sponsored by State Representatives Phil Plummer (R-Dayton) and Andrea White (R-Kettering) to make the streets of Ohio safer by increasing penalties for street takeover, reckless driving and fleeing law enforcement passed out of the Ohio Senate unanimously and received a concurrent vote in the House Wednesday night. 

COLUMBUS– The Ohio House of Representatives today passed Substitute House Bill 2, the state’s two-year construction budget for capital projects throughout the state, which includes for the first-time hundreds of millions for a Strategic Community Investment Fund. The legislation makes $34 million in historic investments in transformational local community projects throughout the Montgomery County, announced State Representatives Andrea White (R-Kettering), Phil Plummer (Dayton) and Tom Young (Washington-Township).
